Jonathan D. Marvisi
Jonathan Marvisi is a highly skilled litigator who has successfully represented both businesses and individuals across a diverse array of legal matters. With experience on both sides of the aisle, he brings versatility to his practice, handling disputes in areas including complex commercial litigation, consumer finance and protection, employment law, breach of contract, shareholder conflicts, landlord-tenant issues, water contamination, real estate litigation, and immigration law. Jonathan’s broad expertise allows him to tailor his approach to a wide range of client needs, delivering effective legal solutions in high-stakes situations. Throughout his career, Jonathan has represented clients in both state and federal courts, securing favorable outcomes in complex cases involving multi-party litigation and intricate contractual disputes.
Jonathan has earned recognition for his legal acumen, having been named a “Rising Star” by Southern California Super Lawyers. He was also honored as the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by his previous firm for his outstanding dedication to serving the community.
A graduate of The George Washington University Law School with honors, Jonathan was deeply involved in extracurricular activities, co-founding the Entrepreneurship & Law Society, serving as a senator on the Student Bar Association, and playing an active role in the school’s mock trial board. Prior to law school, he graduated cum laude from the University of Delaware.

- Counseled companies through investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, and the California Attorney General.
- Successfully tried a residential unlawful detainer manner that resulted in a favorable outcome.
- Successfully defended an entity against claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices, the Higher Education Act, and the Federal Trade Commission Act.
- Represented and counseled commercial property managers in lease drafting and enforcement.
- Navigated the representation of a company with a parallel lawsuit in Australia, which involved coordination with both solicitors and barristers.
- Represented a property owner in federal court related to CERCLA claims, which involved multiple parties and a parallel investigation by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board.
- Trained and advised lawyers in submitting over 130 emergency humanitarian parole applications to the United States Citizen and Immigration Services on behalf of Afghan refugees.
- Served as the lead trial lawyer in Lumpkin, Georgia while defeating deportation of a deserving refugee from Sierra Leone, who most likely would have been assassinated immediately upon return to the country.
- Secured green cards, work permits, temporary protected status, asylum, and protection under the Violence Against Women Act for various individuals.
- Obtained dismissal, summary judgment, or settlement on behalf of clients across various industries, including contractual disputes, employment matters, financial services litigation, landlord/tenant conflicts, and water contamination disputes.
