Dori A. Butler
Dori Butler is an Associate in the Atlanta office of Kabat Chapman & Ozmer, where she handles commercial and consumer finance litigation and employment disputes.
Dori has experience in commercial litigation and bankruptcy law, including contract disputes. Immediately prior to joining KCO, Dori clerked at the Northern District of Georgia Bankruptcy Court under the Honorable Chief Judge Barbara Ellis Monro, Judge Wendy Hagenau, Judge Paul Bonpafel, and Judge James Sacca. While working for the Court, she assisted in handling complex adversary proceedings involving contract disputes, RICO claims, and fraudulent transfers under federal and state law.
Dori graduated with honors from Georgia State University College of Law, where she served as Symposium Editor of the Georgia State University Law Review. She also competed in and coached Georgia State’s Moot Court Team, participated in Bleckley Inn of Court, and served as President of the Environmental Law Society. Dori received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia.
- Served on Georgia State’s Law Review as its Symposium Editor and as author of a Peach Sheet (HB 1084: Protect Students First Act, 39 Georgia State University Law Review 49 (2023)).
- Competed in and then coached Georgia State’s Moot Court team, participated in Bleckley Inn of Court, received a CALI award in Torts, and served as President of the Environmental Law Society.
