Andrew S. Koelz

A former judicial law clerk with experience in federal and state courts, Andrew helps clients with complex civil litigation matters.

In his 15+ years practicing law, Andrew has defended clients in matters relating to business disputes, products liability, data breaches, class actions, federal condemnation actions, the Lanham Act, and insurance coverage. His clients have included companies in diverse industries including retail and consumer products, information technology, real estate investment, natural gas, pharmaceutical, and government.

Prior to joining KCO, Andrew worked at an AM Law 100 law firm for ten years. Prior to that he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles A. Pannell, Jr., and the Honorable Steve C. Jones, at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and as a law clerk for the Honorable James V. Lane, and the Honorable Thomas J. Wilson, IV, at the Circuit Court of Rockingham County in Virginia.

  • Represented co-owner of movie studio in lawsuit regarding dispute over ownership of the studio, resulting in a multi-million-dollar judgment for client.
  • Represented energy company in litigation to obtain easement rights to construct natural gas pipeline, and in other litigation related to construction of the pipeline.
  • Represented CPA firm in class action lawsuit regarding syndicated conservation easements.
  • Represented property investment company in litigation concerning contract dispute.
  • Represented governmental entity in litigation for Georgia bond validation.
