Joshua P. Keefe

Josh Keefe is a member of KCO’s complex commercial litigation practice group.  Josh is an experienced trial attorney who, as a military attorney, gained invaluable courtroom experience, including first chair trial experience in numerous jury trials.

Prior to joining KCO, Josh served in the United States Marine Corps as a judge advocate. In that role, Josh worked in a variety of litigation positions within the military justice system where he represented numerous clients, and the federal government, in trial and before federal administrative boards.  Josh also worked as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of California, where he appeared regularly in federal court. Immediately prior to joining KCO, Josh served as a supervisory appellate attorney, overseeing a team of appellate counsel and representing clients in direct appellate review before the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals and the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. His experience as an appellate advocate both sharpened his appellate skills and gives him unique insight into trial and trial preservation issues which proves invaluable to clients faced with complex litigation and exposure.

In addition to his extensive litigation experience, Josh also deployed overseas with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and he continues to serve in the United States Marine Corps as a Reserve Judge Advocate.

Josh also continues to help military communities by providing pro bono legal assistance to veterans, service members, and military families.
