Matthew E. Hayes
Matthew Hayes is a member of KCO’s labor and employment and commercial litigation practices. Prior to joining KCO, Matt clerked at the Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, both as a staff attorney and as a clerk to Judges Frank M. Hull and Susan H. Black. During his time at the Eleventh Circuit, Matt honed his research and writing skills and gained invaluable experience working on employment and class and collective action cases.
Matt graduated with honors from Emory University School of Law, where he served as an Executive Managing Editor for the Emory Law Journal and was inducted as a member of the Order of the Coif. He also received awards for achieving the highest grades in Legal Writing, Research, and Advocacy and Constitutional Law. Before law school, Matt attended Furman University, where he graduated cum laude with a degree in music education.
